School review information
Hawthorne Elementary is the definition of a 'hidden gem' community school that defies its average statistical ranking through heart and specific pedagogical innovation. While its Fraser Institute score of 5.5 reflects a middle-of-the-road academic standing, its adoption of the 'Math Minds' curriculum and participation in cultural events like the Bard Youth Fest demonstrate a commitment to evolving beyond the status quo. It is a school where character development and community connection are weighted as heavily as test scores.
