Meadowridge is a powerhouse of inquiry-based learning, blending a world-class IB education with a unique 'back-to-nature' outdoor philosophy. It is arguably the premier independent school in the Fraser Valley, offering an elite preparatory experience that rivals the best West Side Vancouver schools, provided families can manage the commute and cost.
Editorial review summary
Parent reviews highlight the school's rigorous academic environment and the holistic benefits of the IB curriculum. Many appreciate the 'family-like' community and the unique Outdoor Experiential Ecological Education (OE3) program that utilizes the 27-acre campus. However, some parents note the high cost of tuition and additional fees (uniforms, trips) as a barrier. The workload is described as demanding, particularly in the Diploma Programme years, requiring strong student commitment. There is also mention of a wealthy student demographic, though the community is generally described as welcoming.
