School review information
Pacific Academy is a 'Faith-First Academic Powerhouse.' It is unique in its ability to combine top-tier Ivy League-level academics (IB Program) with a deeply embedded Pentecostal worldview. Unlike secular private schools where service is an extracurricular, here it is the curriculum. It is an exceptional choice for families who want their children to be as spiritually active as they are intellectually challenged.
Editorial review summary
Parent and alumni reviews paint a picture of a school with a deeply supportive, faith-centered community. The 'Outreach' program is frequently cited as a defining, life-changing feature, distinguishing the school from other private institutions. Parents appreciate the safe, moral environment and the 'four schools in one' campus structure that allows for a seamless K-12 journey. However, some reviews on forums like Reddit note that the social environment can feel insular or 'cliquey.' The strict religious admission criteria are a point of contention for some, as they limit access for non-Pentecostal families.
Common positives
- Elite academic ranking (Top 5% in BC)
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma offered
- Signature Global Outreach program integrated into curriculum
- Modern 40-acre campus with extensive facilities
- Strong sense of safety and moral community
Common concerns
- Highly selective admissions based on specific religious criteria (Pentecostal priority)
- Long waitlists for non-priority categories
- Tuition costs ($7,600 - $10,300+ range)
- Social atmosphere can be perceived as insular
- Mandatory religious participation may not suit everyone
Who this school may fit
Best suited for practicing Evangelical or Pentecostal Christian families who prioritize a rigorous academic environment. The admission policy explicitly prioritizes families who share the school's specific faith practices (including 'speaking in tongues' for top priority). If you are looking for a school that reinforces conservative Christian values while delivering elite exam results and global service opportunities, this is the gold standard in Surrey.
