Quick take
School review information
Pythagoras Academy is a resilient academic powerhouse currently in a phase of transition. While its academic results (8.6/10) and specialized arts programs are undeniably elite, the recent loss of its original campus has forced a temporary co-location with the Richmond Jewish Day School and a reduction in grades to K-5. For parents who value a holistic, arts-infused education and can overlook the current facility constraints, it remains a top-tier choice for early education. However, the uncertainty regarding a permanent future campus is a significant factor to consider.
Editorial review summary
Parent reviews for Pythagoras Academy are generally positive regarding the quality of education but reflect recent anxiety about the school's stability. Families consistently praise the dedicated teachers and the unique 'Storybook Village' preschool program. The strong focus on Musical Theatre and public speaking is frequently highlighted as a confidence-builder for students. However, recent discussions on forums have been dominated by the school's loss of its Odlin Crescent campus and the subsequent move to co-locate with the Richmond Jewish Day School. Some parents have expressed concern over the reduction in grade offerings (currently K-5 due to space constraints) and the long-term certainty of the school's location.
