School review information
Regent Christian Academy is a steadfast choice for families prioritizing spiritual formation alongside the BC curriculum. While its academic ranking sits squarely in the middle of the provincial pack, the school offers a value proposition built on safety, community, and moral consistency rather than sheer grade-based prestige.
Editorial review summary
Parents and students frequently praise the school's warm, welcoming community and the dedication of the faculty, who are often described as caring and personally invested in student success. The safe, faith-based environment is a major draw for families. However, some reviews note that the facilities, while adequate (gym, fields, science wing), may not match those of newer public schools. The strict adherence to Christian values is seen as a positive by the target demographic but is noted as a significant lifestyle commitment.
Common positives
- Strong integration of Christian faith and values in all subjects
- Supportive, close-knit community with small class sizes
- Availability of AP courses and diverse electives
- Robust International Student Program with dedicated support
- Safe campus environment with a focus on character development
Common concerns
- Tuition fees can be a barrier compared to public schooling
- Academic ranking is average (5.3/10) rather than elite
- Admission requires a Pastor's Recommendation, limiting accessibility
- Extracurricular options may be fewer than in large public schools
Who this school may fit
Best suited for Christian families in Surrey who are active in their church community and seek an education that reinforces their home values. It is an excellent fit for students who thrive in smaller, supportive environments rather than high-pressure academic cookers. Families seeking an elite 'prep school' academic experience might look elsewhere, but those wanting a balanced, faith-centered high school experience will find a home here.
