Editorial review summary
Parents highly recommend Topham Elementary, frequently describing it as a sought-after school with a strong, close-knit community feel. Reviews highlight the friendly and approachable principal who makes an effort to know families personally. Teachers are praised for being warm, caring, yet maintaining good structure and discipline. The active Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is frequently commended for organizing successful fundraisers (like student art projects) and community initiatives. Some parents note that because it is a neighborhood catchment school, enrollment is primarily based on residency, making it difficult for out-of-catchment students to get in.

- Excellent music and arts integration, including unique programs like Taiko drumming

- Previous specialized programs (like French Immersion and Japanese) were moved to other schools due to catchment growth
- Older original building sections compared to newly built schools in the rapidly growing Langley district
